The article, which slams Google for allowing adverts from websites that sell fake reviews, highlights an interesting point from one of the fake review vendors:
In other words, Google lets trolls, haters and competitors leave fake reviews… then makes it nearly impossible to get rid of them.
That leaves many business owners little option but to ‘drown out’ the slur on their reputation with an avalanche of fake reviews.
It’s a never ending cycle of fakeness, that only serves to destroy customer confidence in the long run… and further proof that businesses are just an exploitable commodity, especially to the ‘free’ review websites.
